Delete your Stippa account

This page explains how to have your Stippa account (by De Rechter Software) deleted, including if you use the Stippa staff app, and which data we delete and which we keep.

1. How to request it

1. Send an email to support@stippa.nl from the email address you sign in to Stippa with.
2. Use the subject line: Delete account.
3. If you work for more than one business, or you own a business on Stippa, include the business name in your message.

We confirm your request and delete your account within 30 days. If your request does not come from the account's address, we will first ask you to show that the account is yours.

If you only want to stop working at one salon but keep your account, ask the owner of that salon to remove you as a staff member. Your account with other businesses stays as it is.

2. What we delete

• Your sign-in details: your email address, your name, your password, your two-step verification and the link with Google or Apple;
• Your membership of every business on Stippa, which ends your access to those businesses;
• The devices you registered for notifications in the app (the push tokens) and your notification preferences;
• Your active sessions, so you are signed out on every device.

3. What we keep, and for how long

Some data does not belong to your account but to the business you work or worked for. It stays, because that business must keep it or needs it for its own records:

• Your data as a staff member, such as your rota, hours worked and absences. The business manages this as your employer. Hours worked and absences are kept for 7 years because they are part of the payroll records, after which we delete them automatically. If you want the business to delete this data sooner, ask the business directly.
• Appointments and sales records. Appointments you carried out and receipts you rang up stay with the business. Sales records are kept for 7 years because the law requires it.
• The business's change log. It records who made which change. Once your account is deleted it no longer shows your name, but "Deleted user".
• Technical log files are deleted after at most 90 days.

4. Do you own a business?

The owner's account is also the business's account. Deleting it ends the business on Stippa as well. So first cancel your subscription in the dashboard settings, or transfer ownership to a colleague. After termination we keep the business's data for 30 more days so you can request an export, and then we delete it. Sales records are kept for 7 years, as described in our data processing agreement.
